The Month of Nissan & Mikvah

As the Jewish calendar turns towards the month of Nissan and the holiday of Passover, we are reminded that transformation, both physical and spiritual, is at the heart of the season.
This month we will commemorate the Israelites’ redemption from slavery in Egypt. The Exodus is not only a story of physical freedom, but also of new beginnings. Each year we are encouraged to see ourselves as though we personally left Egypt, moving from limitation toward growth. Immersion in the mikvah carries a similar meaning. Entering the water marks a transition, allowing us to release the past and emerge renewed, ready to begin again with intention.
Water itself is central to the story of redemption. The splitting of the Red Sea marked the moment the Israelites crossed from slavery to freedom. In the same way, the waters of the mikvah symbolize moving from one state to another, from heaviness to clarity and from distance to connection.
As Nissan invites us to embrace redemption and renewal, we invite you to experience the power of immersion at MACoM. As we prepare for Passover by physically cleaning our home of chametz (leavened products), the mikvah can offer a space to mark both cleansing and spiritual renewal. Just as the season encourages new beginnings, the mikvah offers a sacred opportunity to step forward with clarity, intention, and hope.
