An Update from MACoM

MACoM is currently at a critical juncture in its journey. In the previous fiscal year, we had the privilege of serving 399 individuals through the Mikvah, including 130 conversions, and over 160 personal and life-event immersions. While our services and programs have thrived, our financial situation demands attention. Our primary goal is to operate sustainably as a nonprofit organization, enabling us to continue providing our unique and invaluable services to the southeastern United States Jewish Community.

The actual operational cost to MACoM for each immersion exceeds $300, while the average contribution has been around $70. Unfortunately, this model is not economically feasible. As such, and after careful consideration, we have decided to increase the requested donation amount per immersion.

  • Conversions: $360

  • Wedding: $180

  • Personal: $118

  • Niddah: $36

  • Annual Membership: $400

It's essential to clarify that these amounts are still suggestions, and no one will ever be turned away based on their inability to contribute the listed amount.

MACoM was established to fulfill a vital need in the Jewish community – to offer a place for Jewish ritual immersion and conversion, irrespective of affiliation. By implementing these changes, we will be able to continue fulfilling this vital mission.
