Mikvah for Men at MACoM.

A welcoming place to connect with tradition, mark a meaningful moment, reflect, and renew.

A practice with deep roots

Ancient ritual.
Personal meaning.

Jewish men have used the mikvah for centuries, before marriage and conversion, in preparation for Shabbat and holy days, and at moments of spiritual transition.

At MACoM, men across the spectrum of Jewish observance are welcome to immerse for a traditional purpose, to mark a change in life, or simply because the experience feels meaningful.

Reasons to immerse

A moment worth marking.

There is no single reason to visit the mikvah. These are some of the moments men may choose to honor through immersion.

Shabbat & Holy Days

Prepare spiritually before Shabbat, Kol Nidre, or another meaningful Jewish holiday.

Marriage & Partnership

Immerse before a wedding or while celebrating the marriage of a child.

B’nai Mitzvah

Mark becoming a Bar Mitzvah or celebrate the Bar or Bat Mitzvah of a child.

Family Milestones

Honor the anticipation of becoming a father or grandfather and other family transitions.

Healing, Grief & Loss

Create space after illness, pregnancy loss, or the death of a loved one.

Change & Renewal

Mark a new job, an empty nest, divorce, retirement, or another turning point.

A personal journey

From curiosity to connection.

Richard first encountered a mikvah for men while traveling in Safed. The experience moved him to learn more about the ancient ritual and eventually brought him to MACoM.

His immersion in MACoM’s warm waters deepened his sense of connection to Jewish life. He later joined the board with a commitment to helping more men discover spiritual immersion for themselves.

“You don’t even need a reason; you can immerse because it simply feels right.”Richard · MACoM community member
